In 2000, I joined several colleagues in informal discussion about founding a network of independent law firms. As managing partners of growing firms, we were looking for a way to elevate our service to existing clients and open the doors to new ones. We had seen in our practice that many of the clients we served in our unique geographic locations had needs elsewhere – and we knew we could promise and deliver greater value to these clients by helping them tap into top notch counsel in unfamiliar jurisdictions. After a series of organizational meetings, six charter laws firms filed USLAW NETWORK’s Articles of Incorporation in March 2001, and the NETWORK was officially founded. We formally launched the NETWORK with our first USLAW member meeting in Naples, Florida in November of that year. Today, USLAW NETWORK spans the entire United States. Our reach is profound and the value we deliver to clients significant. As we continue to grow and look to the future, it is important to remember the principles upon which our NETWORK was founded. USLAW exists to help clients of our member firms access quality counsel, streamline the procurement of legal counsel, and create their own law firm networks within ours to meet their unique geographic needs. USLAW members were selected and invited to be a part of this organization in order to help our peers and member firms deliver better client service and grow their businesses. Key to remember about USLAW is:
We’ve achieved extraordinary success in a short period of time.. But our NETWORK is only as strong as the commitment of our members and loyal clients. Today, that commitment has never been stronger. Charles F. Carr |
