Emma Kent joined Martin Tate in 2022. Emma practices in Tennessee and handles a variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, business litigation, insurance coverage disputes, breach of contract claims, negligence and premises liability defense, and transportation liability. In addition to her practice, Emma serves on the firm’s Recruiting Committee. Emma graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2022. She served as Senior Notes Editor of Volume 52 of the University of Memphis Law Review. Emma also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Bernice B. Donald at the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Emma received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Mississippi State University in 2015. Prior to attending law school, Emma worked as a journalist for the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal in Tupelo, Mississippi.
