John Geary is the managing shareholder of Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush, P.A. His practice involves commercial transactions, acquisitions, financial agreements, real estate matters, corporate governance and commercial litigation. Over the years, he has had a particular focus on the energy industry, representing clients in transactions, regulatory matters and title matters. John holds degrees from Vanderbilt University and Fuller Theological Seminary, and earned his law degree from the University of Mississippi. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Madison County Business League and Foundation, helping the private and public sectors work together for the economic development of Madison County, Mississippi. He has served as president of the Mississippi Oil and Gas Lawyers Association and as a director of the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landmen. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi and the United States Court of Appeals (Fifth Circuit).
