Thomas Anzelmo is a 1973 graduate of Loyola University. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts. He has successfully defended damage claims brought against national retailers, public bodies and police departments. These claims involve various areas of the law including premises liability, medical malpractice, insurance fraud, and products liability. Mr. Anzelmo was selected to represent numerous local tobacco distributors in a national class action, involving personal injury claims of current and former smokers. He has a broad background in the representation of public bodies in connection with the defense of general municipal casualty claims and civil rights litigation. Mr. Anzelmo currently represents local levee districts in the multiple class-actions filed against them subsequent to Hurricane Katrina. He is a founding member of McCranie, Sistrunk, Anzelmo, Hardy, McDaniel & Welch and a former Deputy City Attorney for the City of New Orleans
