John W. Tanselle

In the banking industry John is the go-to lawyer for business counsel. Co-chair of the firm's Banking & Finance Service Group, he has dedicated more than 40 years to serving financial institutions. John’s clients include a wide array of financial organizations, including bank holding companies, savings and loan companies, banks and savings institutions. He assists with regulatory matters, share purchases, debt issuances, self-tender offers, corporate governance matters, strategic matters, mergers and acquisitions, and both the establishment and closing of branches. He also assists with shareholder matters, including communication with shareholders, proxy solicitations, annual meeting matters and special meeting matters.
