Kevin W. Crews

Kevin W. Crews, a partner in Wicker Smith’s Naples office, is responsible for overseeing office operations. For more than 25 years, Mr. Crews has engaged in active civil and administrative trial practice focusing on the defense of corporate institutions and professional liability. He has significant experience in handling and trying catastrophic injury cases involving hospital and medical negligence, premises liability, negligent security, construction defects, products liability, automobile liability and commercial transportation liability.

He serves as principal trial counsel for multiple healthcare systems throughout Florida, including hospital and physician medical malpractice, pharmacy mis-fill, and pharmaceutical over-dose cases, general liability cases and Department of Health investigations and prosecutions. Additionally, Mr. Crews also represents multiple fortune 100 and fortune 500 companies in the defense of tort and contractual claims.

Mr. Crews’ achievements throughout his career have been recognized by his peers, earning him an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded to attorneys. He has also been recognized as a top rated Medical Malpractice attorney by Super Lawyers in Florida since 2013. Mr. Crews is past President of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Board of trial advocates (ABOTA). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University in 1994. He is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Counsel, and the American Inns of Court. In addition, he is a member of the American Bar Association, Collier County Bar Association, and Lee County Bar Association.

Mr. Crews is also a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, responsible for hosting the NCAA Orange Bowl Championship game. Additionally, he is a frequent invited lecturer for educational seminars and other speaking engagements around the State of Florida.
