Marissa was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, before moving to Idaho to attend Boise State University, and then on to University of Idaho School of Law. While in law school, Marissa interned for the law school’s Family Justice Clinic, providing free legal services for survivors of domestic violence. She was able to assist in handling all aspects of her clients’ civil cases. Additionally, she became a certified Guardian ad Litem, representing foster children throughout their welfare cases. She now volunteers as a pro bono attorney for Guardians ad Litem for the 4th Judicial District of Idaho. Prior to law school, she completed legal internships at Sealaska Corporation, a regional Native Corporation in Juneau, Alaska, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boise, Idaho.
She now specializes in professional liability and insurance defense at Duke Evett, PLLC, in Boise, Idaho.
