Scott Ortiz has had a trial practice at Williams, Porter, Day & Neville since 1991, specializing in the defense of transportation carriers, professional negligence claims, industrial and oil and gas related litigation, and labor and employment litigation. He has successfully tried more than 60 jury trials in state and federal court, and represented both public and private employers in more than 150 arbitrations. His clients include transportation carriers and their insurers, health care, legal and other professionals and their insurers, utility companies, oil and gas companies, and many private industrial employers. Scott is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), and past president of the Wyoming chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2002. He previously served on the Wyoming pattern jury instruction committee, and is a past chairman of the Wyoming judicial ethics commission. He is a frequent speaker on trial strategy and other litigation-related topics.
