SUBMISSION PROCESS FOR THE APRIL 2026 COMMEMMORATIVE EDITION

To help us mark USLAW’s 25th anniversary, we announce an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to our upcoming commemorative publication themed “Twenty-Five Years of Legal Evolution: From Courtroom to Cloud.” This retrospective and forward-looking collection will explore how law practice and litigation have transformed over the past quarter century—and where they are headed next. This issue will be published in April 2026.

We are seeking submissions on Jan. 7, 2026, from USLAW member attorneys who can bring fresh insights to this pivotal theme. Article angles could include:

  • The rise of data privacy laws and the global regulatory patchwork
  • The evolution of employment law in the gig and remote-work economy
  • How technology transformed litigation strategies and evidence (AI, e-discovery, digital forensics)
  • Shifts in tort trends and mass litigation since the early 2000s
  • The modernization of law firm operations and client service expectations
  • Access to justice: how the legal market expanded and where gaps remain
  • ADR’s expanding role in resolving disputes
  • Cross-border litigation challenges in a digitally interconnected world
  • Cybersecurity and the attorney’s duty of care in 2025
  • Predicting the next 25 years: legal futurists weigh in
    • This will include a brief Q&A answered by 8-10 member attorneys

Additional article concepts are encouraged and welcome, provided they align with the overall theme. Submissions should explore how the issue has evolved over time, including key developments, shifts in perspective, or changes in practice, and should also offer thoughtful insight into what the future may hold.

Authors are encouraged to examine past challenges, milestones, and lessons learned, while also considering emerging trends, anticipated developments, and potential implications moving forward. Articles that connect historical context with forward-looking analysis will be especially valuable, as they help readers better understand not only where the issue has been, but where it is heading.

Creative approaches to addressing this theme are welcome, as long as they remain grounded in a clear progression from past to present and extend into informed perspectives on the future. We welcome your participation.

Submission Deadline: January 7, 2026

Content deadline: If approved, content due to USLAW: March 2, 2026

Send proposals to: Connie Wilson at connie@uslaw.org. Please provide the name of the attorney(s)/author and a broad overview of how you would approach this topic.

HOW TO SUBMIT ARTICLE IDEAS

If you have an article idea (please remember to focus on the client audience), please send the following content to Connie Wilson for consideration. Once we have all article submissions, we will review them to ensure no topic duplication, and then notify you if your topic is approved.

Please send the following information in the body of an email or in a WORD file.

  • Is this for July or October 2026?
  • Name of author(s)/Firm
  • Working title
  • A very brief overview of the topic
  • Target client audience
  • Applicable practice area
  • Is this original content (Y/N)?

When considering topics, think about what your clients are asking you about or what you and your colleagues are discussing. If it is a trending and relevant topic for the client audience, please submit the idea for consideration. For the digital editions, we can consider previously published content as long as the topic and content remain relevant and we have permission to republish it in USLAW Magazine.

If approved, the following parameters must be met:

  1. Article length: 1500 words MAX (minimum 1200 words)
  2. Provided to USLAW as a Word file.
