USLAW NETWORK Foundation announces Foundation Partners program

POSTED DECEMBER 20, 2023

The USLAW NETWORK Foundation, the philanthropic division of USLAW NETWORK, is excited to announce its first group of Foundation Partners, marking a significant milestone in the foundation’s efforts to empower deserving individuals to pursue legal education and foster a more equitable legal profession.

The USLAW NETWORK Foundation takes great pride in welcoming USLAW member firms Amundsen Davis, Carr Allison, Connell Foley LLP, Duke Evett PLLC, Hanson Bridgett, Hinckley Allen, Larson King LLP,  Murchison & Cumming LLP, Pierce Couch and Wicker Smith as esteemed Foundation Partners. This collaboration holds immense potential in expanding the impact of USLAW’s scholarship initiatives and providing enhanced opportunities for deserving students from diverse backgrounds and those who demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity and social justice in their communities.

“USLAW is committed to supporting future lawyers through our scholarship program, and the addition of the Partners Program expands our commitment to education and community, ” said Oscar J. Cabanas, USLAW Chair from Wicker Smith in Miami. “The Foundation Partner’s program not only offers additional scholarship opportunities but also allows those with similar philanthropic goals to join forces towards a collective mission. Each named scholarship will make a difference for a deserving student pursuing a law degree.”

The USLAW NETWORK Diversity Council helps facilitate the USLAW NETWORK Law School Diversity Scholarship process.

“We are pleased to welcome our first group of Foundation Partners, who share a common goal of supporting diverse students pursuing a legal education,” said Noble F. Allen, Chair of the USLAW NETWORK Diversity Council from Hinckley Allen in Connecticut. “The Foundation Partners’ support to fund scholarships for law students who excel in the classroom and their community strengthens our collaborative efforts to support DEI initiatives and the next generation of legal leaders.”

In 2023, the USLAW NETWORK launched the Foundation Partners Program, offering individuals, corporations, and foundations the chance to establish personalized scholarship funds that align with their own philanthropic goals. Through a multiyear commitment, donors have the flexibility to allocate funds to support any eligible scholarship recipient or specify criteria and preferences, such as awarding the scholarship to a deserving student from a designated university.

The integration of USLAW NETWORK Foundation Partners will bring a wealth of additional resources, expertise, and networks to USLAW’s scholarship program. This collaboration will empower and support gifted individuals who may face financial barriers in their educational pursuits.
