Kelly Peterson

Kelly Peterson was born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts. She moved to Southern California to pursue higher education; obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree, in sociology with an option in law & society, from California State University, Los Angeles in 2009. Kelly went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles in 2012 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2013. She is also admitted to practice in all California U.S. District Courts. Kelly is an associate attorney with the law firm Coleman, Chavez & Associates. Her primary concentration is in workers’ compensation law. She is well versed in all phases of case handling and is certified by the California State Bar as a Workers’ Compensation Specialist. Prior to joining Coleman, Chavez & Associates, Kelly represented injured workers throughout Southern California, from a large variety of industries in both the public and private sector, in all aspects of litigation before the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board. Her experience practicing on the applicant’s bar provides valuable insight which enables her to fully analyze each case and develop creative strategies to expedite resolution. Kelly also has experience in civil litigation defense. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures and cuisines, as well as spending time with her husband, twin boys and two Cavapoo puppies, Oliver and Canelo.
