If there’s one constant in workers’ compensation across jurisdictions, it’s the pressure on claim closure rates, reserves, and the associated costs – indemnity, medical and attorney fees. This roundtable will explore the significant impact reserving practices have when cases are under- or over-reserved, or when there are sudden last-minute swings in reserve levels that disrupt expectations and budgeting. We will deep dive into state-specific challenges, especially in high-impact jurisdictions like California, Florida and New York – widely considered among the most difficult states for employers managing workers’ compensation claims.
