Kathy So

Kathy So is an experienced attorney who returned to Bovis, Kyle, Burch & Medlin, LLC after over a decade in academia. With a strong foundation in insurance coverage, insurance defense, and litigation, Kathy initially developed her practice at Bovis Kyle before moving overseas and transitioning to teaching. She has taught in the MBA program for the University of Maryland Global Campus in Europe and undergraduate business law classes in Asia on U.S. military bases. Her overseas experience includes working as an in-house counsel and senior manager at Hyundai AutoEver Corporation. Now, back with Bovis Kyle, she brings a renewed perspective shaped by her years of academic and real-world legal insights, particularly in mediation, negotiation, and complex litigation management. Her practice focuses on insurance coverage and bad faith, professional liability defense, and complex litigation.
