Wim Weterings has been a practising lawyer since 2003. After working for four years at a large law firm in Rotterdam (NautaDutilh), he joined Dirkzwager in 2007. Wim works as a salary partner in Dirkzwager’s Liability & Insurance department. He heads the International Liability & Insurance practice group. He has ample experience in advising and litigating on (complex) liability claims in which capacity he has represented various (international) insurance companies and multinationals. Furthermore, Wim is a leading expert in insurance issues, with an emphasis on Directors & Officers liability Insurance (and mass claims).
In addition Wim works as Associate Professor of Private and Business Law at Tilburg University, where he prepares publications and provides lectures on liability law and insurance law. Wim obtained his PhD in 2004. He also lectures at several other Dutch universities (such as Erasmus University Rotterdam, Radboud University Nijmegen, Leiden University) and was a visiting professor/scholar at universities outside the Netherlands, amongst others the University of Antwerp and Yale Law School.
